The Evolution of College Life is a collection of college stories from Ohio State graduates and current students.
I'm working on creating a book composed of college stories submitted by OSU students and alumni of all ages. As a 4th generation OSU graduate, I thought it would be fun to see how the college experiences of OSU students compared throughout the years. Become a part of the legacy and add your favorite college stories to the topics below by commenting on the original post. Make sure to include the year the story occurred as well as your major in the stories you submit. Please change the names within the stories to keep them anonymous! The deadline for submissions is January 1st.

ReplyDeleteOne night, I found myself looking around in the kitchen compiling everything that I had - a few cans of Natty Lite, cheese, flour, and popcorn. I flipped through my cookbook and found a recipe for beer cheese soup. I fell a little short on some of the ingredients, but I was pretty close. I had to try!
My roommates would come into the kitchen one after one asking what that terrible smell was that I was conjuring. Each of them gave me the "that sounds disgusting" response and walked away. There was no doubt in my mind that this was about to be the best beer cheese soup anyone had ever tasted. If foods like beer bread and broccoli cheese soup could taste awesome, then so could my beer cheese soup!
My popcorn garnish was added a little too early and became instantly soggy. The cheese and beer acted a little like oil and water, and the whole kitchen smelled horrible. I had one bite, decided it was not worth eating, and tried to put it down the garbage disposal. The monster soup was so thick, it clogged the garbage disposal...
